OT: UCONN Basketball?

I thought I saw on an ESPN crawl that UCONN would not be eligible for next year's NCAA tourney because of their academics. (Is it an APR or some sort of acronym where they figure grades and graduation rates and give grades according to them???)

Is this the first time a major team has been discluded because of this rating system?

They're talking about implementing an academic standard to qualify for the tourney. UCONN was one of the teams in this past tourney that wouldn't have qualified had those rules been implemented already. I think I heard as many as 8-10 teams would not have been eligible.

Remains to be seen if they do in fact implement the rule, I believe.

Maybe that's what the crawl was saying because I don't see anything on ESPN.com and it would be splashed all over there.
