I hope he does well. For all his faults, in 2009 he was exactly what the Dr. ordered for the young struggling team. I know he didn't win a lot of games, but he did breath life into the team.

That ND game was, at the time, one of the best UM/ND games of all time. Except the same thing happened the next two years with a different QB.

I have no issues with Tate. He was an exciting young player and as you said breathed life into the team. I think his dad f'd him and his brothers up.

He certainly was a breath of fresh air, but he was a whiny puss while on the bench of that UCONN game. He made up for it the following week, giving RR a huge hug before the ND game (the look on RR's face...very, very surprised, but proud of the young man no doubt).

I wish him nothing but the best, obviously.

Any quarterback who beats those schmo's from SB will always have a special place in my heart.

Matt Millen had one of the greatest lines by a football announcer when Tate scored on the long TD run.

At the 4:22 mark. Sweet!

Haha, I remember that. One hell of a run.

That game was simply crazy.

Pretty decent LB in his playing days, always good in the booth. Never should have been hired by the Lions. As a matter of fact, I put more of the blame on WCF not Millen. WCF kept extending his contract. WTF?

I liked Tate, it was too bad that he had to over-come what Daddy did to him. I think that fact that Tate was closer to a Pro-style QB than Denard is what made me like him. Of course Lil'Man Tate just couldn't live up to the hype/expectations, if they rumored suicide attempts are true I seriously feel bad for the young man.
