| I just never pictured a 6'3 running back at Michigan, or any school for that matter.. Can anyone throw out any names of current (or old) backs that were 6'3 or taller AND successful? Thats a lot of body for the defense to grab onto to tackle... I wish the kid luck though. Seems like a good kid who has his head on his shoulders. It would have been cool to land a premier back, but I'm not worried at all. There are PLENTY of other backs out there that will fit in just fine with Shane and Co. offense. | |

| Eddie George was about 6'3", but he's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.
Adrian Peterson is about 6'1" or so. I think.

| Goes to show Michigan coaches can only relate to OL, DL and LB. Are yet to land a true solid WR, HB, DB. | |

| Build the line and anyone can run behind it. You don't need Richardson if you have a strong line. Mike Hart is a great example. | |

Richardson won a National Championship, while I love Mike Hart, what did he win? I see your point, but having a top type RB behind a solid OL will take a lot of pressure off of Morris. I get what your trying to say fish, but Hoke has our hopes of MORE than just a respectful showing in the Big 10.

Yes, I do want to see UM win a national championship but I have to be a realist about it. Win the B1G first, then take on the rest of the country. gotta learn to crawl before you learn to run, nature's rule. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| Granted this is a thread regarding a RB...but continuing the discussion about skill players....we are missing Erik Campbell.
How else can you explain our lack of big-time WR's over the last 4 years? Once Soup was ousted by Dick Rodriguez, we haven't really landed anybody (and don't throw out a bunch of names...because most of them have done nothing, and we stole Roundtree from PURDUE.)
Get EC back now. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

| So we can now start referring to Isaac as Rojo version 2.0? _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

Adrian Peterson is about 6'1" or so. I think. Brandon Jacobs is 6'4. - CharlotteGuy wrote:

The skill positions are lagging behind all of the other positions. I do not see why guys would not want to come here with the team Hoke and co. is putting together. As Morris as QB the O-line I just do not get it.

Girls, sun, surf, alcohol, non-top fun, money, that lying weasel Kiffin... Yep as long as USC has the ability to pay athletes and shower them with hollywood type GIFTS, they will continue. They get over on the NCAA every year.

| Build the lines, as Hoke & staff are doing, and the skill positions will come.
It really is that simple. _________________ "I'm 205 pounds of twisted, hardened, blue steel." Bo
