that's some first ballot hall of fame stalking on your part. How in the world did you find that guy. I guess the better question is why?

Not "OT" per se---after all, Maize and Blue sports! I root for them all...as I certainly did the gals' softball team some years back when they won it all.

That article made no mention of it, but as well as the timely hitting, what really helped us was three---count 'em, three---"pitcher's best friends". One was rather lucky (the liner right to Taylor's glove with the runner on 1st), one the result of a baserunning "gaffe" (the tagged-out runner should have retreated to 1st or stopped; even if she was being forced the 2nd, making our 2B-woman run to and step on the bag would likely have bought the hitter time to beat the relay to first), and one was a classic 6-4-3. And in all likelihood, we'd have been in rough shape without any of them, as Taylor didn't strike anyone out.

But I thought the play of the game was by our 3B-woman, making that diving grab on the line, getting up and throwing the runner out at first in the 6th inning. Looked like a pro all the way.

Now, girls, let's give 'Bama a little sampling of what they can expect 9/1, eh?

Crap, I keep saying/typing "Taylor". Of course our pitcher's name is "Haylie". My bad.
