Yes, it's interesting, but the part I find very disconcerting is
the total absence (according to that piece) of Rawls...with no explanation.

No need for me to say why it leaves an anxious, uneasy feeling...

Agreed but perhaps they are trying to avoid injury.

Here's hoping you're right...and not that the existence of some injury explained his absence.
