At this point I don't think that Fitz will start against 'bama, although he will play. Perhaps sitting the first series. I still don't think that he should play at all but I understand the importance of him playing in the game. Making him sit the first series "might" be ok...

I agree and disagree. I agree that Fitz should not play one single down, but I disagree that making him sit for a series "might be ok". The importance of the game is secondary to the importance of setting the tone for when this happens again...and it WILL happen again. Trust me...I live in Alabama and I REALLY want to kick their asses, but I don't want our coaching staff to be like Alabama, or Fla State, or Ohio. I'm just sayin....

I agree, but the enormous pressure that is on Coach Hoke to at least be competitive with 'bama is unreal. Most of the "Football Fans" (those who only have a Football fan connection to the University) care more about football. I've always said that I don't think that Fitz should play, but a token first series/first quarter suspension is at least something. I guess that is my compromise. Of course this is all pending on how Rawls/Smith/etc. do.
