| "The decision to cancel games 2015-17 was Notre Dame's and not ours" David Brandon. This is per mgoblue.com. ND exercised their option to cancell for these 3 yrs., plus M-ND already had agreed not to play in 2018 or 19', so next time we may see ND come to Ann Arbor is 2020 or 2021. Makes next yrs game even more important, exciting to see. Whatever your opinon of ND is, it is a great series.

| I figured it was a matter of time when they agreed to 5 ACC games. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Hopefully Hoke doesnt go the OSU route and replace it with a cake game. | |

| I wonder how much ND will enjoy their new 'conference' affiliation when they see their share of the gate proceeds from the 54,000 seat Byrd Stadium when they play the likes of Maryland -- not to mention travel costs associated (its no longer just a couple hour bus ride fellas). | |

| Sorry... I forgot to include this in my post above...
Which team would you like Michigan to develop a rivalry with to replace ND? I'd like to see one with Texas or Oklahoma. PAC12 teams seem a little too far away for the rivalry to 'feel' natural, and I have nothing but disdain for the SEC.

| I was a little surprised ND dropped us, but not shocked. USC, Stanford, Navy & MSU must be 4 games they want to play. I can't believe Purdue is more important than M, maybe it is to ND, I don't know. So 5 ACC games, the above 4 teams, leaves them with 3 choices.
Looked up ND's future schedule, they have a 4 yr contract with Texas, 15' & 20' at ND, 16' & 19' at Texas.
Napaeus, also like to see Texas or Oklahoma, semi-close so fans could travel. Like Florida St. or the U, Miami. My dream would be a home & home series with USC. Looking at 15' schedule, already have Oregon St and Utah, plus UNLV. In 16', have Colorado and 3 open dates. Just don't want 3 cupcakes, 3 directional school.

| Looks to me, ND is padding their win column by dumping us! They basically joined the ACC which is anything but a football powerhouse and now they cancel UM down the road. It appears they're making their schedule easier, I would say. If not, why didn't they can Purdue? |

| Who says we need another "rivalry?" I don't think we do nor do i want us to have a third one. Not many teams have that many rivalries, if any. I have no issue with them scheduling random teams to fill the spot. The does not mean they have to be cupcakes.
This is a non-issue in my opinion. Frankly, I wish Michigan and the rest of the B1G would have kicked them off the schedule years ago. I am tired of their we're too good to join a conference (in football) attitude.

| I wouldn't mind see Missouri on the schedule. They would be a decent replacement, Also could get an in to playing some other teams , I believe the PAC 12 would be okay but the travel would be hell. Think they go Big 12 , maybe Big east _________________ "HAIL HAIL MICHIGAN" Wanted John Harbaugh but I'll settle for JIM WITH AN ENTHUSIASM UNKNOWN TO MANKIND GOOO BLUE The Curse of Rich Rod

| I'd like to see us play UNC and/or Clemson or The Cocks or Wake Forest or some team over there. Fla St? Georgia?
Someone like that. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| This is my first post since the debacle that was Saturday night....
This is not surprising. I wrote pretty extensively about this situation over at MGoRecruiting a couple weeks ago or whenever they announced the ACC deal.
I'd like to see us play someone like Mizzou. I don't want a cake game, but I sure as hell don't want anymore Alabamas being scheduled (no matter how good we are...one bad Saturday and we're OUT of the NC picture. Not worth it to me.) I think the lower-tier schools from major conferences (SEC, B12 and Pac12) is the way to go. For instance, Utah, that was a great addition. _________________ "I don't get sick. | Had lunch with the Dean of my former program today and as we were walking out of the building (11:30-ish) he dropped the bomb on me about the Notre Dame series being halted in a couple more years. He did say that he received the info. off of MGoBlog so we're doing something right.
Something unrelated, but funny IMO, was that he said that he is now done going to football games for the rest of the year. He said that he made the trip to Dallas and we all know how that ended. He also decided to go to South Bend on Saturday but now he's done for the year. He, all of a sudden, thinks that he is bad luck. He did say that he "might" go to the sparty game, and even though I said nothing, I was screaming in my head "No, don't go! I can't lose to those punks again." _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
