Zak Irvin- 4* SG #34 nationally, best bet to win Indiana Mr. Basketball.
2013 stats: 24.7 ppg, 8.9 rbg, 3.6 apg, 2.3 spg
Volume scoring wing. He reminds me a lot of Manny Harris who played for Michigan a few years ago and was drafted to the NBA. He would be able to minimize the effect of Tim Hardaway JR. leaving for the draft because he plays the same position.
Derrick Walton - 4* PG # 47 nationally, decent chance of winning Michigan Mr. Basketball.
2013 stats: 24.1 ppg, 10.2 apg, 7.1 rpg, 4.5 spg
Point guard that loves to get to the rim. He isn't as good of a shooter as Trey Burke is, but can see the court nearly as well. You'll never replace a guy like Burke, but Walton running the point will make the offense more Beilein-esque.
Mark Donnal- 4* PF # 107 nationally
2013 stats: 20.1 ppg, 10.0 rpg
Stretch PF. This is the position that people think about when talking about a Beilein offense. The center that can pick and pop like Pittsnoggle could. Donnal is raw and still needs to fill out his frame, but if he ever does the potential is there for him to be really good. I think we might see Donnal red-shirt because it will be hard for him to get minutes behind Morgan, McGary, and Horford. It would also give him an extra year of strength and conditioning, which is exactly what he needs.
I expect their rankings to go up quite for a few reasons.
1. They are all having very good seasons.
2. They are all scorers that can create their own shot. Those are the kind of players you see raise in rankings during the AAU season.
3. Accolades of Michigan Mr. Basketball and Indiana Mr. Basketball should bump Walton and Irvin a bit.
