I have a feeling Penn St is gonna bring it tonight. I see them staying close through the first half but in typical UM fashion we pull away with a 5 minute defensive lock down and a scoring run.

I saw on a post earlier this week that someone on here had eluded to the fact that they think stauskas may be getting worn down by the early minutes played in the season. The poster said something to the effect that it's a much different story shooting 3s in your back yard with your dad feeding you the rebounds as opposed to running and shooting in a game.

Twice so far (14 minutes into the game) NS has had a wide open three and he passed on it, the first resulted in a missed UM shot and the second was a bad pass that resulted in a turnover.

It would be great to get this young team some rest before heading to the conference and national tourney but unfortunately the schedule wont allow it.

You need your legs to shoot threes. He just looks a step slower to me.

being out boarding and 10 turnovers, leading to 6-8 point how can this team be looked at as one of the best in the nation. As much as i like this team I just feel they are a sweet 16 team and out they have a ton of atheletes but can't stop a team inside and fail to finish. They just don't play strong fundametal ball.

Agree. BTW, I can't watch halftime on BTN. Can't listen to the Ohio guy criticism of UM. He just said that penn st has taken away UM's biggest strength, rebounding. WTF Jackson, have you watched any UM games this year? Rebounding isn't UM's strength.

So you think there are 8 teams (elite Cool better than Michigan.

Name them and tell me why.

Didn't think so.

That doesn't mean there are 8 teams better, but 8 teams could goons run in the tourney. Can UM go on a run, sure, will they, I don't think so. JMHO

Stauskas 5 turnover maybe we should call him Pop tart Very Happy I agree though fish rebounding i would say is a weakness, In fact 1 of the glaring weakness that Michigan has. ourse i think if we went Morgan and Mcgart or hordford and Morgan we could fix that. staukas not doing much. He is making shots now and then, but we are gettin killed on the boards.

sorry hail didn't see your post I could see 8 teams that are as good, I'm saying that Michigan could easily get knock out in the sweet 16 because of being out rebounded and points in the paint.

Did you know that Michigan is the only team in the nation who hasn't lost to a team ranked outside the Top 20?

So yeah, Michigan looks bad at times. But every other team has lost to worse teams than Michigan has.

Means nothing in the tournament. Can the freshmen push through? I know Kentucky did it last year with a lot of freshmen, but UM doesn't have a guy like the eyebrow guy that KU had.

What it means is that Michigan has not lost to any team that will be a 5 seed or lower.

Every other team has lost to teams that will be lower than a 5 seed.

Also, Michigan has not lost on a neutral or home court.

I'm not saying that Michigan is world beaters. I'm saying that every team this year has flaws.

I see both of your points Hail and Artist.

I think I'm going to side with Artist on this one. I can see us getting matched up with a team in the sweet 16 that boxes us out, out rebounds us, scores on us in the paint and then we shoot a terrible percentage from the floor and next thing you know we're knocked out of the tourney.

But Hail you are right, there are a LOT of flawed teams this year.

One half time stat I found interesting is that UM has 24 of 36 points in the paint at half time. That's refreshing.

After a decent second-half against Illinois, went back to the same no-defense team they've been for a month now. At no point in that game, did their defense rise above the level of terrible. Getting down to crunch time in the season, and they're falling apart.

well that was awful- no way to sugar coat it. We could've used Zach and Stu tonight.

Burke's worst game at Michigan, defense universally bad by everyone.

wow.

FUKIN MAKE THEM TAKE A BUS HOME, I WOULDN'T WASTE THE MONEY ON A PLANE GUTLESS BASTARDS. Really does anyonefeel confident about these guys going into the tourny.... they are soposed to be making a statement that they are ready for the match, seriously anyone that thinks they will go farther the the sweet 16 is disallusional . and now they will probably be a 3-4 seed 0-16 0-16 unreal... No

They sure as shit have now.

This loss was HUGE. You know how come tourney time they list teams big wins and bad losses, well we just got our bad losses. We squandered a 15 pt. lead to lose to a team who has not won a conference game yet. Fucking Horrible. Once PSU took the lead the team just fell apart. Chucking up bad shots. Where the hell was the discipline?

I think we can say good bye to the B1G title and any chance at a #1 seed.
