| They were up 21-10 at half-time over UCLA but somehow managed to sparty it and lose 41-10...
I thought that they fixed the defensive problems after the first half but they came back (defensive issues) in a big way. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| that was ugly. the b1g needed that like the B1G needed UM to roll. UW needs to roll ASU. if not, overall horrible day for th eB1G. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

How much relevance do you think conference strength has to do with BCS / NC bids? _________________

How much relevance do you think conference strength has to do with BCS / NC bids? Well, I can tell you this. If UM is 13-0 or if OSU is 13-0 after the B1G championship game, they will be in the NC game no doubt.

| So, say if Oregon, Alabama & Michigan goes undefeated, you still think Michigan will still be in NC game? After the game today, I highly doubt that. |

| I'd like to get to 13-0 to be able to worry about it.

| A 0 loss Oregon or Stanford get in the NC game over Michigan A 0 loss Alabama, Georgia, or LSU gets in the NC game over Michigan
Those aren't even worth debating.
A 0 loss Clemson vs a 0 loss Michigan would be close.
But if the Big 10 dominated their OOC games and showed they are clearly the 2nd best conference in CFB, then you can't keep the undefeated conference champ out of the NC.

Yep, they sell tickets. If we were talking about BCS Bowls that pick their participants, sure. This is why Michigan played in the Sugar Bowl though they were not a top 8 team. However, the BCS pits the #1 team vs the #2 team. There is no way Michigan jumps an undefeated Oregon, Stanford, LSU, or Alabama in the BCS rankings. _________________

Strawman much? My point was that strength of conference is important. _________________

| I am not in this debate sir. I just found it laughable that there is a debate on whether Michigan would make the BCS or even NC over team X or Y after almost losing to Akron.
I apologize for derailing this very important and worthwhile debate.

Yep, they sell tickets. Ahhhhhhhh, I don't think selling tickets is part of the equation to pick the teams for the NC game, fish! Maybe for the other bowl games, but not the NC game! anyway.....GO BLUE! Beat UConn! |

| The teams they want in there bring the most money. With the enormous fan base that Michigan has, why haven't we been there yet? _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
