Wisconsin got jobbed (I think)

Just saw the end of their game. I'm not an official but shouldn't that have been a defensive delay of game penalty?

I agree.  Either review it as a possible fumble or flag AZ state for delay of game, or stop the clock to get the ball set.  Either way, the refs didn't take control of the game.

Ugly.

Feel bad for Wisco.

They did what they had to do to win the game, and they had it taken from 'em.

I saw the replay and I've seen pictures where Stave's knee was down, there was no fumble. ASU should have been flagged for defensive delay of game.

UW got robbed.

Wow. That is absolute garbage.

1. He was down the second his knee hits at :16.
2. Multiple whistles blow at :15.
3. Wisconsin is lined up at :13.
4. ASU defensive lineman goes into the fetal position on the ball at :12.
5. The ref finally gets the player to get up at :06.
6. The ball is finally "spotted" at :02, which is less time needed to spike the ball. It was never actually spotted, though (at least I don't think so, consider the ref had his hand up.)


One of two things SHOULD have happened...

1. Stop the clock and review the fumble.
or
2. Flag ASU for defensive delay of game.

...neither happened. Wisconsin got screwed. You can't even find anything about it on ESPN.com, though. Can you imagine if this happened to an SEC team?

I saw the end of that game while picking up a pizza. Yea, Wisconsin was hosed. The ref's should have spotted the ball earlier (aka-Stopped the clock while they were deciding what to do). But at the same time, Wisconsin should have went about that much differently.
