In 17 years as an OC (not counting this season) there were only 3 seasons where a Borges QB finished the season with over a 60% completion percentage. 3 out of 17. 155/282 (54.7%) 2335 yards 15 TDs 11 INTs is the average season for a Borges QB.
Of Michigan’s 15 turnovers this season 11 have been INTs. Of the 64 turnovers under Hoke during his time at Michigan (2nd most in program history through this many games), 46 have been interceptions and just 18 have been fumbles.
By the way Borges is the third highest paid OC in the country.
I believe it was 2nd who pointed out Borges was our QB coach when I was saying we should hire one. Looks to me Borges is NOT a QB coach.

Holy CRAP, Batman!! I've not been a fan of his hire, but I didn't realize how bad it is with him! I was here in Bama when he was at Auburn (Campbell), but you need to keep in mind that he had Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams (#2, #5 picks respectively in 2005 draft) at RB, which kind of helps keep the heat off of the QB.

He's a good guy. Interviewed him in Indy a few years back when he was a backup for the Bills. It was the same night the Colts opened Lucas Oil (the first preseason game).

There must be something wrong with my TV. Over the last 3+ years of watching Michigan Football I have not seen an older white guy with a gut throwing passes, rather 2 different black kids with speed and not an ounce of fat on either of them. I haven't witnessed Al throw a single INT, what is the point of that post?
I can't believe that I'm defending Al Borges but come'on. Borges doesn't take the snaps, he doesn't throw the passes. And after looking at those numbers it is any wonder why they played conservatively in OT?

Wow. So coaches aren't responsible for developing players? Hell RR didn't make tackles and play on the defense. Guess he was a good coach after all.

I'm not a fan of Borges in the least, but getting guys drafted is a sign of success when you talk about player development. IE., John Beilein gets a ton of credit for Morris and Burke being drafted. We all agree with that (and if you don't you are dumb). So if we agree that players being drafted into the NFL is a decent indicator of player development, then consider this:
Cade McNown... 1st round draft pick, #12 overall. Tony Graziani... 7th round draft pick Kyle Boller... 1st round draft pick, #19 overall. Ryan Lindley... 6th round draft pick Jason Campbell... 1st round draft pick, #25 overall. (I'll leave out Denard because he wasn't drafted as a QB).
He's gotten 3 of his QBs drafted in the 1st round. Not only that, but they were all busts. In other words, he made these QBs look better than they really were. Not bad.
Again, before I get attacked by all of you "Michigan sux n0w!" folk, I'm hoping Borges isn't calling the plays next year. I just don't think using this list is a good proponent of this.

Kyle Boller's interception rate at Cal went way down AFTER Borges left. He wasn't going to be a first round pick based upon his year with Borges.
