Speaking as someone who was at both games, the defense did look as lost at times as they did against Illinois. But unlike the Illinois game, we didn't have about 3 sure interceptions that ended up bouncing right into the hands of Hoosier receivers for big gains. And that fumble we lost inside our 15 to start the third quarter wasn't really an issue 3 years ago. Offense was more explosive.

We knew our defense couldn't stop a high school JV team in 2010. The reaction in the stadium yesterday was still somewhat of a surprised disbelief. Many "wows" people just silently said to themselves.

Atmosphere was still pretty up for an Indiana game.

Our defense in the Illinois game in 2010 was probably not the worst performance of that era ( I Know that is not saying much), when you consider the percentage of drives stopped to the percentage not stopped. Does anyone remember how many Illinois possessions there were in regulation and in OT and what the regulation score was?

Seriously, do any of you people understand sarcasm?  Notice, I said "technically".  And "technically" you do get the ball back after the other team scores (providing that it isn't the end of the half).  Wow, can you be any denser?

No, you were right.  It was 2010.  45-45 at the end of regulation, both teams scored 3 touchdowns in 3 overtimes.  We made our 2 point conversion in triple overtime, Illinois didn't, which made it 67-65.
