The more I read on him the more I like.

Rich Rod would love that he could punt.

Having a QB that can punt is a nice weapon. Brian Griese did it once or three times to good effect.

remember Danny White for my Cowboys .... he was the best punter other than Ray Guy ...lol would have rather he was the second best QB at least ... as well was Drew Henson not a USA Today AA as a punter ?

I still can't stand his release. Hopefully it is fixable. If not, I'm not sold on him.

feel a lot better about our QBs and their improvement potential under Nussmeier than if Borges was still here ...

What's wrong with his release? Is it inconsistent like Matt Stafford's?

He throws sidearm, not overhand. His release reminds me of Phillip Rivers.

Here are wo videos...  First, Andrew Luck, who has a great throwing motion.

Then here is Speight.... a great example is at 1:30

At Jeff Trickey's QB camp, they taught us to that before the release, you want to hold the football by your ear with your throwing arm 90 degrees to your face, which helps with an overhand throw. When your elbow drops, you start getting funky releases and that's what I see with Speight. I'm not a professional scout, though, just a guy with an opinion. (Mind you, this was HS football and "basic" stuff to correct funky throwing habits.)
