Now this stat does blow my mind...

(For as miniscule a baby's breath as that takes...)

We've all heard "first time since" stats enough, lately, to drive us nuts: First win at Madison in 17 years, first win
at Columbus in 11, yoda yoda.

But according to the Daily, it was our first win ever---in a century or so of playing basketball---at Columbus over
a ranked OSU team.

That I find hard to believe. What it says, among other things, is that rarely do both our programs have strong teams the same
season, or the home court advantage really is that big.

Wow- that is a mind-blowing stat. I do wonder as you alluded to how many times we have both been ranked when we played?

Here's another "stat", almost as meaningless as the first:  with Ennis' 35-foot buzzer-beating heave that went in to keep the Orangeman undefeated at Pitt last night:  Guess who can claim to be "The Last Team To Beat Syracuse"????

Hmmm- that rings a bell. Think it might have been in last years NCAA tournament. Can't quite reMember who did it though.
