| No one but Michigan fans think we will win this Tourney. I mean they don't even THINK about Michigan when they talk about possible winners.
MSU
Wisconsin
OSU (darkhorse)
Anyone but MICHIGAN

| 4 out of 5 writers at the Free Press (MICHIGAN'S HOME NEWSPAPER!) choose Wisconsin to win the B1G Tourney.
The 5th picks IU.
No respect even in our own freakin state.
Tell you what,
THIS is what makes rooting for this team so fun. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Still torn on them running deep into conference tourney. Coach B said yesterday that he really thought the early exit helped them go deep into the NCAA last year. He also said Burkes freshmen team was really gassed by this time. I think extra rest this time of the year can be beneficial.
I also recently read that tourney champs have not faired well in the NCAA. I wish I had a link but I think it was in a tweet.
Could be a poll question. Would you rather Michigan go deep into the NCAA it B1G tourney? For me it's the NCAA. There nothing better than Michigan having a great March in basketball. I also think it benefits recruiting a bit more too.

I do not believe that is a true statement. I think if you look back at past National Champions you'll find more often than not they won their conference tournaments. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I believe the tweet was about B1G winners. I remember it was a small sample size like 5-7 years. So I think it was just our conference.
That said, I am sure you realize there are exceptions to everything.

| And Kentucky the year before and UConn the year before them.
And then Duke the year before that.
That's enough for me.
The last 4 National Champions ALSO WON their Conference Tournament.
GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME! _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Well, considering we have a small sample size of national champions from the B1G, 'd have to believe that.
MSU is the only B1G team to win the National Championship since the B1G tourney began. Right?
If you use THAT as a starting point then you could almost say
NO B1G Tourney champions has EVER won the NC. (once in how many years?)
I say WIN THE TOURNAMENT! _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I think you are ignoring other factors such as age. We have one of the youngest teams in the conference. I know Louisville had a good amount of upper classmen. Not sure about the others you listed.
Coach B said the extra rest helped them last year. That's good enough for me.
That said I won't complain if they do well in both.

| JMHO.
I DIE when Michigan loses. I refuse to use the "We could use some rest" excuse for losing.
IMHO some fans feel this way just so they aren't disappoint if we lose.
Well, I DON'T CARE. If we lose I'll feel like shit for 3 days. I DON'T CARE if "we get rest".
Using your factors, our kids are younger and shouldn't need REST.
Remember when you were 19? I do. I didn't need rest. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I believe it is impossible to call someone a liar when all he does is offer his opinion.
I would guarantee 100% I NEVER called him a liar. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I'd be happy with one win in the BTT. 3 games in 3 days is draining. Of course that's theoretical, whenever we actually play I always want a win badly.

Hell, just win the Big Ten tourney, as well as regular season! THAT is the one that counts. I don't give a damn if we subsequently become the first No.1 seed to lose to a No.16 seed in NCAA tourney history, if we just win the B-10, possibly gaining a third victory over Sparty! P.S.---MGoBlue, you ask a question like that, you're going to get an answer like that...!!!By the Elite Eight last year, who among us even gave a shit what we (or any of the other conference teams) had done in the B-10 tourney????

| In Joe's original blogs he states fans other than Michigan fans consider Wisky and MooU as the favorites and O$U as a darkhorse. The Blue's #1 seeding means Wisky and MooU are in a different bracket and O$U would have to play a couple of games before a possible matchup with UM. So things appear optimistic for a championship shot. I hope that if Michigan reaches the final it would be against the Badgers. As an announcer stated in one of MooU's recent games, all the injuries have allowed Izzo to develop good depth. But they seem to foul excessively and appear to tire in the second half. WIN THIS TOURNAMENT! _________________ too
