Good article but what makes you think he would leave OU to come to Michigan. I agree Hoke is toast even the recruits are excepting that and dropping like flies . Really think its time for Michigan to start shopping for a head coach. Someone who can get effort and commitment from these players personally I believe there is a lot of talent on this team that's being held back by poor coaching talent and commitment to upper classmen. 1, DG is a great guy and love Michigan , but he's holding the program back. I'm betting there may be other situations same as this going on.

Stoops would be a major upgrade.

Very interesting thoughts. I would love to have him at UM, but I'm thinking it is pretty much a pipe dream, just like the Jim H pipe dream. BUT, it sure wouldn't hurt to put some feelers out there!

Got to make Jim H say no. Then what does it hurt to call Stoops?

Is it me or is a Stoops the second coming of John Cooper? If I am not mistaken he has not been great in Bowl Games and struggles in rivalries. He is always in the running before dropping a couple of games that eliminates them from contention. He seems like he cruises through the regular season and then folds when something big is on the line. I guess that's what comes to mind when I hear his name.

Agree and I think the chances for Harbaugh are something better than pipe dream.

Had him confused for Bob who actually has a winning record. Mike has a losing record in both regular season and bowl games. He was fired from Arizona. Yikes. Who else you got?

Apparently, some people seem to think Stoops is getting bored in Norman, so, it might not be a pipe dream. I wouldn't mind seeing him in AA.

Maybe he could be a package deal with the Oklahoma AD???

It doesn't seem that far fetched that he would leave. He's an assistant. Seems like he would want to be an HC again.

I agree fish. I read an article a week or so ago that basically said the same thing. At the very least, the new AD has to get Jim to publicly say no. After that, it wouldn't hurt one bit to give Stoops a call.
