ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh's satellite camp tour may not have an encore.
At least if the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference get their way.
The NCAA is set to review 72 different proposals over the coming months, and the banishment of satellite camps in college football is on the docket.
"An ACC proposal that, if adopted, would require a Football Bowl Subdivision school's camp to be held on the school's campus and limit FBS coaches and football personnel to working at only those camps," the NCAA stated in a release Friday. "A similar proposal from the SEC would limit FBS coaches and football personnel to working at camps sponsored by his or her school."
Harbaugh's satellite camp tour in June saw Michigan's coaching staff visit high school camps hosted by separate organizations, with Michigan acting as a guest instructor.
Both proposals, if adopted, would put an end to that loophole.
Coaches and athletic directors from the ACC and the SEC were unhappy with Harbaugh's tour -- which stopped in their back yard -- this summer, as both leagues currently have a policy that prohibits their own schools from visiting any camp more than 50 miles away from their campus.
The Big Ten does not have that policy, nor does the NCAA as a whole.
Michigan made trips to Indianapolis, Alabama, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania and California over the course of eight days in June.
The work seemed to pay off, as Michigan scored 14 verbal commitments for its 2016 class in the month of June alone.
