This is why gut feelings aren't always to be trusted. Everything that I read said Nordin to Michigan was a lock EXCEPT that he was visiting u$c last weekend. That was the one little tidbit that worried me. There was something in my gut telling me that he was going to u$c. There are definite times to listen to your gut but recruiting isn't one. While I never said for sure that Nordin was going to u$c I said probably, therefore I'll chalk this one up in the wrong column. My bad.

You can if you want, but my focus is on what we got coming in the next few years. This program is only going to get better and better as JH continues to get the guys he wants. He'll "go to war with the army he wants, not the army he has"! to paraphrase. Just imagine how Michigan football will be humming with a team of exclusive Harbaugh-types! I can't contain my excitement!

So much hype for a kicker.

It's not just this one player (but face it, our kicking game has royally sucked in recent years before this past season), it's the entire class. Outstanding! Not that it matters (w-l is all that counts), but where does this class rank nationally? Somewhere in the top three? What do you think?

So M signs the #1 overall recruit, #3 TE, #1 kicker, yet they fall to 6th. To my shock SEC teams make a big jump. ESPN didn't have any say, did they?

dwoody, agree, bottom line is how M does on the field. Unless they win in East Shithole or Cowlumbus next yr., really doesn't matter where they finish.

But it would be nice to be ranked in top 3, which I think M has

I've been scratching my head as well about these ratings, but I am sooooo happy for the Maize and Blue Nation and the job the coaches did!!!

lets relax on Nordin ... he only kicked two FGs last year ... you never know with kickers , as Andrew David was a highly ranked kicker as well and he couldn't beat out Kenny Allen who had been a nobody until this past season

True. Rankings are nice, but not the be all, end all...

Yes- Placekickers are dicey. Talent is one thing, mental toughness tested under game pressure on a big stage is critical.
