| Heard a rumor, source is my friend who works in athletic dept., spring game might be a Friday night the 8th. He has friends in sports medicine dept. where he heard it from. Now it could be one of those my wifes cousins oldest childs boyfriend heard it. Or it could simply be an idea that's floating around FB dept. to see what interest if any would people have. I don't know
Personally I would like it under the lights, be pretty cool.

| Interesting, we would still go, I just wonder if they would get as big of a crowd on a Friday night. | |

I think a larger crowd might result. And that could be the night game this year, but that's pretty weak... _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Wow, night game for spring game? Now, that would be cool and again, would garner more attention to the program. Geez, what else is this staff going to come up with?!?! I love it. | |

| Some schools already have their Spring Game at night. For the record I still like the idea. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| My friend is hearing Friday night, April 1st. No, not a April fools day joke.
MgoBlue, agree, temp. could be a problem. Early April can be low 70s or low 40s. Night is usually still cool/cold.

| Sounds like a decent compromise if true. It will get dark enough to require lights but the temperature "shouldn't" drop too much. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Nope. Too cold, too damp, too late for a long drive home. Also would have to leave work too early. | |

| The Friday thing is absolutely baffling to me. Makes it tough for people, including recruits to travel to it. I am sure there will still be a turnout but it will not be what it would have been if it was on a Saturday. | |

| Easter is March 27th so a lot?, most?, majority? of HS on spring break the week of the 28th. Except for our school district, break starts on the 1st. So I'm guessing recruits will have no problem traveling plus the HS students on break can make it.
I always work on Saturdays in the spring so have never been able to attend. With our HS being on vacation I can finally attend. For all teachers (and coaches) who live many hours away & on break now can attend as well.
Yes I understand adults have to work on a Friday. With 6 weeks notice maybe people can make arrangements with boss, who knows.
Now if its 35 and snowing/raining or just really cold, be interesting to see attendance.

| Isn't it supposed to be an actual game this year and not just a glorified practice?
This could mean that, of course it could also mean the first ever at night.
"The Wolverines will practice a total of 15 times during the spring, culminating with the first-ever spring game scrimmage in the evening. The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network."

Now if its 35 and snowing/raining or just really cold, be interesting to see attendance. I worked for ten years that primarily used HS and college students as seasonal help. Spring was our training time. I will tell you that "spring break" is a 4-6 week span. Not all schools take break at the same time. My kids spring break starts that weekend. Some freinds of mine is the following week. A simple move to Saturday night clears a lot of this up. People can attend regardless of their spring break and people working M-F can attend as well. I really think this will hurt the out of town visitors.

| I personally think it is a good idea. There are many reasons for this. It will be televised in prime time. Lots of people who typically do not attend football games will be able to attend, granted they'll have to take a day off (maybe) in order to make it work but it looks good for them. It'll be cold, boo-fricking-who. Was it not cold in the fall during night games? Heck I remember in 2014 the Maryland game was a 3:30 kick. It required the lights and yes it was pretty cold. I know what you're going to say, "It was an actual game." I question that, Hoke was coaching. People will spend Friday traveling/ watching football, the rest of the weekend they are free to do whatever they want. For those that get a room and make a weekend out of it that leaves plenty of times to do things like art museums/Yankee Air museum/hit Main St./Hands on museum/etc. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

I think that you've smoked a little too much. "The Ann Arbor Hash Bash is ALWAYS on the FIRST Saturday of April, (04/02/2016) At HIGH NOON on the DIAG of the University of Michigan! " http://www.hashbash.com/ _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
