IMHO that's the positive way to look at it. That or maybe Gentry just isn't cut out to be a D1 QB? Isn't Gentry the kid of New Mexico? You don't give up on a redshirt freshman QB with the size and tools that Gentry had after 1 season unless you are confident that the position will be fine.
