I'm seeing rumblings that he has a cast on his non-throwing hand.

To bad for him. Maybe he can get an wxtra year 2hen he transfers to a smaller school, because it is obvious that he is already behind Peters and #5 on the depth chart.

He has already RS and I don't think his injury is that severe (although I do not know specifics). Plus it is on his non-throwing-hand, he'll be a little rusty, and possibly unsure of himself at Fall camp but he should be able to perform. How he reacts around contact I don't know though. The WOTS is that his hand was stepped on during the Spring game. It was kind of suprising that the coacxhing staff didn't stop play and come onto the field as Malzone lay there on the field after he got hurt. You'd think for a QB they would. Anyone else they'd just be like "Rub some dirt on it" but a QB (even back-up to the back-up of the back-up) you'd think they'd be a little more protective of. Maybe they're not fond of him? I wouldn't say that unless I was naming every single possibility no matter how unlikely. I can't see a Harbaugh staff doing that though.
