I've been thinking about that one specifically as well. Could Jackson be another Peyton? Personally I wouldn't put Peppers anywhere near the same quality as Woodson but it is what it is.

He's different than Woodson.  Peppers is a more versatile weapon on offense but can't cover like Woodson on defense.   But, Woodson wasn't  asked to line up at LB.

Completely different players that are not comparable if you ask me.

I've been thinking about that for the past couple of months but was reluctant to post anything about it. Conventional wisdom says he's gone, especially if we make the CFP. However education is important to him and his Mother. He "says" that The Heisman means nothing to him but you know he wants it. It is a foregone conclusion that Jackson has it this year unless A.) He really sucks the last 3 games, and B.) Peppers has pick-6's, scoop-n-score TD returns, Punt return TD's, TD receptions, rushing TD's, and a kickoff return TF or two (all against ohio state). There is a possibility he comes back next year. Jabrill likes Michigan (from what I can tell without even knowing the guy) and he could come back. Do I think he does? No, but he could. I am not making a call on this one. I DON'T KNOW. The pessimistic in me says he's gone but there is a little something that says he's coming back. I think that he has a little Denard in him, not enough to come back but who knows?

I give it a 20% shot Jabrill comes back.

Fish, one huge dissimilarity between '97 and '16:

1997: Nebraska nipping at our heels closely enough to steal part of our NC.
2016: Nebraska rivaling MSU as the season's largest train wreck...

By the way guy...you might be wrong: I might get my "lose-out" wish for them after all...

Not that I could care a row of rusty nails...

Uh, no. sparty is 2-7. Despite getting Mollywhopped on Saturday night by ohio state Nebraska is still 7-2.

It all comes down to Saturday when Rutgers comes to east landfill. sparty can't lose to Rutgers can they? If they do they will lose out as ohio state comes to sparty the next weekend and then the team of skirts has to go to Happy Valley. If sparty doesn't beat Rutgers they will lose out. Anyway, 3-9 the season after a CFP berth? Yep, the real sparty stood up.
