I'm going to smoke a pork belly on Saturday. Using my own sweet dry rub. Smoking it with some apple wood.

We are doing our annual neighborhood tailgate party. We have UM, OSU, MSU, ND and strangely enough, Miami Hurricanes fans attending. Of course we drinks some beers and eat, but go our separate ways for kickoff.

Sounds AWESOME! Except for all those sucky fans! Lmao.

I love smoked pork. Ribs, Butt, or whole hog. Love it all.

Have fun.

FYI, we almost always have brats on the golf course for tailgate. Tomorrow we're doing big thick ribeyes! Don't tell StJoetoo. He doesn't know yet! lol.

Ironically enough, gents, I was at a pig roast last weekend at Schiffer Publishing Co. (Amish country in Pa.), for "authors".  Joe, don't know how many of those you've done, but man, after watching the head "chef" lay out then carve up the (whole) pig, I had trouble eating a single mouthful...!  Ugh!  Seemed so inhumane...though I confess I'm as far as anyone from begin a vegan...

BTW...though I'm mentioned before, if any of you, or your parents, are into puzzles like Sudoku (but a new and somewhat more challenging concept), try the following.  I have pledged 10% of the first-year royalties to you-know-where, so you'll be helping students attend U-M!!!

We pulled two whole pigs about a month ago for a huge hog roast. I was so disgusted by it I could only eat two pork sandwiches, and that doesn't include what I snacked on while doing the pulling.

Right, Joe, I didn't know about the rib-eyes until Saturday. Were they ever good!!! Your expertise in cooking is obvious, especially in preparing the rare to medium-rare steaks for the "connoisseurs of such fine cuts of meats". You know who I'm referring to (LMAO). Just kidding!! Next weekend we can analyze how the brats are cooked.

You're right. It was one of the best one I've been to since "joining" the group. But I will admit I haven't attended anywhere near all 150! But now that I have experienced a few of the tailgates, I surely wouldn't miss one at any given home game. Great friendships.
