Apparently out of JH's academic doghouse. Reports are that he's again working out with the team. Probable redshirt.

OK by me. lol. We've got Higdon and Evans this year. Probably better for his grades if he red-shirts.

I think this is the right thing to do, both academically and athletically for the guy. Didn't Kareem Enroll-Early? He should be able to just take the starting RB spot next year if he wants it (provided he is good and has learned from his mistakes while at Michigan). This year is far from over and we still have everything in front of us. However next year (I'm not even ready for it yet as I want to enjoy this year) looks like a wire-to-wire #1 year. Especially with next years schedule lining up the way it does. The only difficult road game will be at Wisconsin.

We lose a lot of talent after this year.

True, true. But the alleged improvement in other key-spots (i.e.- QB, etc.) should off-set those losses. In addition, the current back-ups are no slouch.

Are we pretty much set on the fact that Peppers will not be back? He loves Michigan but he's no Denard and 1st-round money is hard to pass up.

3 Olinemen, all receivers, and starting Rb. That's 8 from offense.

Both CBs, both Safeties, all 3 LBS and 4 DLs. Basically a completely new defense next year.

That's a lot to overcome.

Why worry about next year in the middle of such a great run? Enjoy! As to next year, trust JH.

The defense will take a slight hit, I'm not denying that. But look at the rotations, Coach Harbaugh is on record as saying there really is no starter with the way people go in and out. Losing the reliability of Chesson and Darboh would be something to consider if we didn't have others waiting in the wings. We have more than enough RB and our "starter" (once again the rotation factors in largely) Smith is solid but clearly replaceable. Lewis and, probably, Peppers will be missed but we got this. Gary will have a full season under his belt and he is already a man-child. I'm not too concerned.
