Don Brown’s Michigan defense held Wisconsin to no drives longer than 37 yards in their 14-7 win.
The Badgers went 4-for-15 on 3rd down and had only 8 first downs. None of their final six drives went more than four plays, resulting in four punts and two interceptions.
Wisconsin had just 3.0 yards per play and 2.5 per rush and threw three interceptions.
Bonus stat: Eastern Michigan is 4-1 for the first time in 21 years. They also received a top-25 vote for the first time since 1987.
Bonus stat II: Michigan State is unranked for the first time since October 2013, after a 24-21 OT loss to Indiana. It was Mark Dantonio’s first loss to the Hoosiers.
