...my teams went a rather mundane 1-1 in bowls. Yes, I only pull for, and follow, and care about, two(2) teams in college ball: (1) Michigan (2) Whoever OSU's opponent happens to be. And both teams played their final game of 2016. (Logic: Clemson has one more, but "OSU's opponent" has not).
On a far-less jovial note, very sorry to learn of Jake's ACL tear. Here's wishing this fine young man and AA player a successful surgery, seamless recovery, and minimal damage to his draft position.
Also, the post below about Speight's sickness is no surprise, and perfectly plausible. It was obvious all game long that he was out of sorts, for whatever reason. Still, he threaded the needle with the TD pass to Kahlid to pull us within 5 in the 4th, and hung as tough as any warrior in his condition could possibly be asked to.
Finally, it cracks me up how many spur-of-the-microsecond flip-floppers there are in the media (and always have been). "Michigan wasn't prepared for FSU's speed"..."need top-flight QB to challenge for top level"..."[M] could have been blown out"... blah blah blah."
Christ, give us Jabrill at 100% and put Dalvin Cook in street clothes and let's see who blows out whom...not to mention our "less-than-topflight-QB" was at far less than topflight health...(And friends, please don't cite the truism "Injuries are part of the game" in your riposte, eh? I know they are...)
See you all at the spring game. And besides---does anyone know the date? All I find, on the sites I've surfed, is a ton of "TBD"s. It is the same weekend as the Big House 5K, no? I plan (with a U-M friend) to be in A-squared for the game, but am also really looking forward to the 5K.
