| Maybe tonight's game will cause a reassessment, but I really LIKE this team. It seems like they (finally) get it defensively, and seem to be getting it together at just the right time. Absolutely need to win tonight, but that coupled with a win on Saturday will end all Dance speculation. Simpson is looking good, Wagner is becoming beastly, and Teske is beginning to get it together. Nice article in the freep today, and the future is looking bright.

| playing a typical rd game poor shooting no defense. Irvan has 16 but shooting about 30% . Doesn't look good NIT looks more plausible MAAR playing likr freshmen, did I say no defense dribble drive for 2 back to back to back _________________ "HAIL HAIL MICHIGAN" Wanted John Harbaugh but I'll settle for JIM WITH AN ENTHUSIASM UNKNOWN TO MANKIND GOOO BLUE The Curse of Rich Rod

| It appears you still see a half-filled glass as 3/4 empty, Artist, but I can't knock your take on FT's.
What the Phuque has happened??? We led the conference in that stat only a week ago...I cannot think we still do. MAAR fouled on a three, hits ONE; Derrick Walton missed half of his.
FT shooting (9-of-18) cost us the Minny game, and friggin' near cost us last night's as well.
Are the guys TIRED? Weariness, as any athlete (or any skill level) knows, degrades performance...in any field. Beilein said in the pre-game that he was cutting back defense practices "to save the guys' energy for the games, playing 5 in 13 days." Could be their arms and legs are weary (though in honesty, you'd never know it by our offensive rebounding against a very active Rutgers team last night...I was impressed). But whatever the cause (of our 55% FT shooting)...it has to get fixed.

| Mike- I thought they looked very tired last night. I know 19-22 yr olds shouldn't get tired, but I think they were and JB seemed to sub less than even usual for him.
That said there are no bad wins in BT, and especially no bad road wins- very gritty effort to dig deep and win that, we even did it in regulation! (They took Wisconsin to OT).
We rebounded great isn't that what the artist is usually complaining about? I know- we should play well every game- in ALL phases/s.
I am with dwoody- I really like this team and love watching them play. I do not in any way take an NCAA berth for granted though- all of our remaining regular season games look to be very difficult.

| This team is 8-7 in conference , should really be 10-5 maybe 11-4 with some breaks and if they played with urgency, when they needed to. The O$U and Illini game both come to mind when you think is Michigan the better team. Minny they got Homered and that was just bad luck. Really didn't think they should have lost to IOWA either. _________________ "HAIL HAIL MICHIGAN" Wanted John Harbaugh but I'll settle for JIM WITH AN ENTHUSIASM UNKNOWN TO MANKIND GOOO BLUE The Curse of Rich Rod

| I'm sure every team with more than a couple of losses can point to games and circumstances, where they "should have won." | |

Yep, Shoes, Shudda/Cudda/Wudda!!! Definitely can be cited by ANY time, for at least a few of their games...and for none more than for Rutgers. With that energy they displayed, how in hell are they 2-14 in the BT??? I could not have agreed with the BTN commentator more: those kids obviously love their coach, and love playing for him, and have clearly bought into his "TAKE NO PLAYS/SECONDS OFF!" philosophy. They played, for 40 minutes (it seemed to me), with 100% effort at all times. Hats off to them. And hats equally off to our men...to go on the road, apparently (you and I feel so, anyhow) weary, and overcome not only the relentlessness of the host team, but their own inadequacies at the free-throw line and from behind the arc (10-31) to post an all but do-or-die victory....or at least a do-or-NIT victory. By the way, fellow runner...19-22 year olds can, do, and have the right to get tired!!! They aren't Kryptonians or Daxamites, ya' know...
