He was an EE this winter and is quitting football before he even suits up for a game. His departure is stemming from an Achilles injury that he sustained as a Junior in High School. The cool thing about it is that he is stay on scholarship and it will not count against the 85 limit (I assume).

Hindsight is 20/20 but I could see something like this happening. He's from my home town and I never heard or saw anything special out of him. He sat almost all his junior year and then was unspectacular in his senior season.
Out of the defensive line recruits we have he's probably not going to be missed.
