I'm not a BBall buff. I'm not even a FB buff. I'm a recruiting guy at heart but still... I can't remember ever seeing a M BBall team play D this well. The last two weeks they have played D really well. I thought that was worth noting.

THE BEST defense I've ever seen Michigan play.

Of course I've only been watching about the last 42 years so my frame of reference may be limited.

yep I started loosely watching UM basketball during the fab 5 days. I've been fairly steady since the Amaker days so I wasn't sure if my post was on point or not but from what I can tell this is the best D that a UM BBall team has played in a long time and I love it.

They've had good defensive players before, but this year, the team is so connected on the court defensively.  It is fun to watch.  They rotate, they cover the open man when someone rotates.  Like they are all connected on a string.  They move in concert.

Gary Grant was a great defender. Thad Garner was really good, we've had a few, but this is the best team defense in my lengthy memory.

Plus we don't have just one defensive stopper. Z and Matthews are both lockdown defenders. MAAR isn't that far behind.

So we can shut down multiple offenses instead of stopping one and taking our chances with the other.
