Playing time. Wheatley ballooned up, McDoom was passed on the depth-chart, and other similar stories.

Pretty much what Bo said. We won't miss any of them unless we get so injured that to get down to them would be bad.

I'll admit that McDoom surprised me but then I talked to a buddy who explained that we have DJP, Black, Perry, Nico who are already known superior players plus the younger guys who we aren't as familiar with very well could be better too.  McDoom was a fan favorite mainly because of his name but to be honest he was nothing special.  I have been hearing great things about Patterson though so far this year but I'm taking it with a grain of salt as we hear that every year.

I still say McCaffrey will start next year providing Shea turns Pro.  Regardless Dylan will see his share of snaps in '19.

Now if you recall I relayed the message that Malzone was going to be one to watch a couple years ago but that was before the DUI and undisclosed injury.  I'll still take those lumps but he was looking good but as Allen Iverson said:

Malzone very well could end up being the starter.

Just not in Ann Arbor as a Wolverine.

Crawford was big and fast but had bad hands and ran poor routes. McDoom couldn't learn the slot position and also had bad hands. I don't think thre is any question that they left because they weren't going to see the field much if at all this year. As has been posted above, none of the players who left were on track to get much PT this year. Best that they move on to where they might get to play.
