Our supposed flagship team. Very bad day for the BIG. Will be tough to make the playoffs again.

I don't cheer for the other B1G teams.  Especially OSU or msu.

But osu blew out tcu in the end just like i thought they would.

That game opened my eyes.

Man were those 2 teams FAST. There wasn't one play that was run at less than full speed. they hit the holes and went fast. The pass plays would be caught and the receiver would be GONE.

The thing I saw in our game was 13 penalties for 137 yards. And that's only the accepted ones. We are undisciplined. And that's against a terrible SMU team.

I looked it up and we've had 7 against ND, 7 against WMU and 13 yesterday. Again these are only the accepted penalties.

Why so undisciplined?

Now, I thought a couple interference calls were terrible, egregious even. But let's face it, the refs didn't mess up 13 times.

I also watched a team who would be 2nd and 2 and need 3 running plays up the middle to pick up those 2 yards. (BARELY) Against SMU! I don't care who our running back was and how much SMU stacked the box. I'm tired of excuses.

We still probably won't know anything about our team after next week either. Apparently Nebraska sucks pond water.

My diatribe is over.

Nebraska played a walk-on at QB yesterday. In the close loss to Colorado their QB Martinez was the whole show: threw for a bundle and rushed for quite a few. They aren't great , but with him (Martinez), they are a completely different team and will be much more competitive.

Why did they start the freshman? Injury or discipline?

They only have one eligible scholarship QB on the roster and that's Martinez. They have another QB on scholarship but he transferred from UCF to be with Frost and has to sit out this year.

Martinez completely changes that team for the better. He will be tough to handle if healthy.

I live the Indianapolis area now. Lot's of close friends are still riding it out, mostly dealing with flooding, but all have said they are ok. No power.

Did your area get hit? Charlotte correct? I hope you are doing well and made it through.
