3-for-4 it ended up as...I don't count a missed 53-yarder against ANY that distance, it's pure crap-shoot.

And you get a hall pass this time, comrade ("might be a long night"), because we ALL were concerned at the way their NFL-quality O-Line and especially Taylor treated us to "Big Boy Football" on that first drive, then on their (first) scoring drive. But the kudos really began piling up for our defense as they toughened, adjusted, and took control thereafter.

But the victory applause, no doubt, belongs to the offense. Not only Shea's breathtaking juke and 80-yard sprint, but the time he was given to throw, and the way Karan came on after a slow start. By scoring on three successive drives, it put all the pressure on their offense to play catch-up, which is just what Don Brown wanted; that definitely is not Wisky's game, being the ground-oriented, ball-control offense Chryst built.
