There is a press conference with him on the podcast today.
Things that stood out to me.
DeJulius is a bull.
Most important, Livers and Poole are talking to the freshmen. They have become the upper class men even though they are only sophs. They are both natural leaders.
Also said a couple of the freshmen were sponges. Really good players that only want to learn and get better.
No prima donnas.

Great news...especially the LAST part, Joe. "WE not I" is JB's way to begin with, but great to hear so many incoming studs are willing to learn, pay dues, buy in, etc.

It's great mike. Listening to Deandre Haynes right now. He's an assistant.
Says Ibi is also stepping up. He is going to try to be this year's MAAR. We're really gonna miss that guy. If we needed something MAAR did it.
Also repeats what John said. The soph's and X are really leading.
Also a story about X having a Pit Bull. The apartment owner said he had to get rid of it. Apparently most dogs are acceptable at the apartment just not Pits or Rott... (sp) or Doberman.
But the point is X is a Pit Bull. WE saw it last year and it's going to be way more evident this year. CAN'T WAIT!

Also apparently there were some rugged practices. The upper classment were being pretty rough with the frosh. Beilein stepped in to calm it down and all the players said they wanted to settle it on the court.
He stepped back and said "Go for it".
No reports on how that scrimmage went.

Newbies are buying in because they have seen the results of Beilein's spaing concepts. It takes awhile to execute in games but their enthusiastic embrace of it bodes well.
