...in the manner of the dedicated "businessmen" coach B has made our team.  Give your best, on both end of the court, even if it isn't YOUR court (like last night at the 'Barn'), and win a basketball game.

Guys started strong, stayed strong, played great "D", hit the shots when they counted most (keeping Minny from making any real runs), led almost start-to-finish, and stayed in first place in the B1G.  Glad to see Iggy and especially Jordan regain their outside shooting touches. Big Jon refused to be bullied inside by Murphy very often, and Charles' athleticism and recent rise on the court to match (or at east approach) his talent level was apparent. And Z, well, he was "Z"...finding open 'mates all over the court, frustrating Minny guards, making steals, etc. Even tossing in a pair of treys for good measure...

Very tough NOT to feel good about our team, both Sunday vs. Mooie and especially beyond...

Ok, I'll be debbie downer.

We gave up 42 points in the second half.

That's far from elite.

Dear Joseph P. Devil's Advocate: our men can give up 42 points in ANY half, any time they want, so long as they have a 15-20 point lead throughout the process, and 10-point lead with 40 seconds to play (in the game)...

I'd rather see them "relax" in game-out-of-reach garbage time (or better still, the RESERVES let the foe trim a 20-point deficit to 9 with 20 seconds left) than to have the regulars strain to their limits to keep the 20-point lead intact till the buzzer, and risk an injury, a la Zion Williamson, Nick Ward or Josh Langford.

Big Jon was a beast on D. Five blocks and who knows how many altered shots. Z (a/k/a X) grabbing balls from rebounder hands was rich! I'm pumped for tomorrow.
