Very entertaining, well-played first half by both teams. Torrid 3-pt shooting. This is my favorite team since 2013. Oops!!! Typo corrected.

I'm kind of glad they didn't go away. Would I have preferred UM run them off the court? Sure.
Is it a good thing that this team now how some experience grinding out a win on the road against a tier I team? You betcha!

I don't watch all teams play but if these 2 weren't both #1 seeds I don't know who else would be.
Put Illinois, ohio and us in 3 separate brackets and we could have 3 final four teams.

I want to add one more thing on this game...
UM had 5 guys in double digits and Franz scored 9.
They had 3 guys score 80% of their points.
UM won because of balance and depth.
Also UM's defense in the last 10 minutes led to them outscoring them.
Balance and depth combined with solid defense give any team in the field a punchers chance at a title. I can't wait to see how the next two weeks play out but this team is built for a deep tournament run. Grab your popcorn.

I say the "Three C's" are our main forte. Chemistry, camaraderie, and as much as anything, coaching. How we adapted after (as expected) our torrid trey-shooting cooled off then went ice-cold in the second half: taking advantage of Hunter's 5-inch advantage over any buckeye, pounding it inside for hoops---often on second (and third!) chances. Had to love the way Chandee (sp?) fought like hell for that one score!!!
You (Sandy) also raised a great point about balance: if three guys score 80% of your points, 5 (or even 4) opposing players can be utilized to account for them...which is what we did to OSU down the stretch.
Great win for our already-great team.
