the 3s weren't falling and there were a few hurried plays that resulted in no points but other than that I liked what I saw in the first half.
The refs have been quick to go to the monitor so I hope that doesn't come into play and have an effect late in the 2nd if the game is close.
If I'm looking at the first half with unbiased eyes I'd say that Hunter is outplaying Garza. They are nearly dead even on the stat sheet but the game play looked like Hunter had a better half.

Up by 19, 2:04 left and Hunter is still playing balls out!
I didn't like that. I was yelling at my tv to get them out. no need for a garbage time injury.
All bias aside... Michigan is the #1 team in the nation.
Show me how Gonzaga and Baylor stack up. Show me how they play night in and night out against quality opponents. Show me their depth. Show me their strength of sched. Michigan leads all catagories.

they beat a bs kansas team that was extremely overated at #6
they cancelled their game against baylor
they beat a good iowa team
they beat a bs virginia team that was extremely overated at #16
so they have played 3 ranked teams, 2 of which where extremely overrated and probably won't make the tourney.
baylor's quality wins....
they beat a quality Illinois team
they cancelled their game against Gonzaga
they postponed their game against texas
then they beat the #6 texas team
those two resumes don't even come close to stacking up to Michigan's

They DON'T---particularly Gonzaga. The one or two games** you mention in your following post notwithstanding, they beat up on a bunch of nobodies from whichever downy-soft league they play in. Neither their nor Baylor's schedule can compare---by ANY stretch---with ours.
**-most all of those against teams whose early lofty rankings were based on LAST season, and have since proven to be ridiculously overvalued.

Most likely he CAN refrain from it, Woody...once someone convinces him basketball games are FORTY, not twenty, minutes long. (Wisconsin game at the half, anyone???)
