UCLA worries me

here is a team that shoots pretty good from the outside, It looked like they would not even make the tourney and now have knocked off some pretty good teams.I amwooried about the outside shooting, and if we are able to stop that,

it's march and madness happens but here's how I see it.....

This UCLA looks a lot like LSU on paper. They have two main scorers and a bunch of serviceable support players. They will absolutely need to have all of the those support players to be on to have a shot of keeping up with Michigan's scoring pace.

From the eye test UCLA is nowhere near as athletic as LSU was. UCLA's best player with be guarded by Franz so that should help. Not sure if they have an answer for our bigs. Davis should provide quality depth at the 1 and that is something they haven't seen in the tournament yet.

It looks like they play four guards. So given that brooks, brown and franz play lock down D UM should have answer all around.

But it's march and madness happens.

keys to this loss Smiths missed free throws at the end of the half (HUGE) to much Dickinson inside, a neccesity because Wagner did nothing. No gurad scoring yes Brooks made a couple but not enough and The defense was not enough.

You are 100% correct. I hate to say it but our guys choked last night. Too many missed shots and missed free throws. Very poor shot selection near the end. Might be a little Juwan's fault. Who called for a 3 point try 35 feet from the basket?

One last thought. Last night sucked but you know what? I'm over it. We were supposed to be 8th in the Big Ten. We had a great year and we see outstanding things coming down the road.

I have decided to just enjoy it. It sure was fun.

Great attitude. I couldn't care less about this game (well I guess I could if it wasn't Michigan) but it's nice to see. Especially after what happened to hockey. Our roles are reversed in that aspect I assume.
