Jones?

Starting tonight? Collins is looking better, less costly. Jones might be trying too hard on D. A tad aggressive.

Perhaps there is a reason he played at Coastal Carolina?

I thought he played fine vs Nebraska

My concern is that when he gets contested by a defender, he'll often back up instead of getting around the defender and going toward the hoop where he would make the defender pay with a lay-up or force help which would allow him to find an open man. Our recent successful point guards have been able to do that.

and even more important, our point guards of late have been able to dribble drive and dish. Jones was never asked to do that at his old college. He would drive and scored (against lesser defenders). it's clear that he's taken a step up in competition and is working to get comfortable.

Unfortunately I just haven't been too impressed with Jones (yet, hopefully). If you look at the previous Michigan teams to go on tournament runs they have been led by great guard play. Not necessarily in the sense that they score 20+ points, but they managed the floor extremely well. We'll see how that spot shakes out over the coming months leading into March.
