Following the Khayat commit here is what I think the starting lineup will be for the beginning of next season.
C - Hunter. This is a no brainer. I wish UM had proven backup experience here but I like the highlights I've seen from Reed and I'm excited for the kid so I think UM will be fine. I think there is enough talent and experience that Juwan can go small if Hunter needs an extended break.
PF - Williams. I think Terrance starts early on and he and Youssef share a lot time. Will Youssef take over the starting role? I don't know, but regardless I think Juwan will probably play Youssef at the 4 and the 3 quite a bit.
SF - Jett. This is not a decision based on the fact that he's the coaches kid. this is based on his talent and potential. Like I mentioned above, he will split time with Youssef when Juwan has him at the 3.
SG - Kobe. There will definitely be times that we will be missing Eli this year but Kobe showed us enough last year that we should be able to handle the growing pains we are likely to experience with him.
PG - Jaelin Llewellyn. No brainer again. This will be the 3rd strait season with a "new guy" running the team. I am still openly not-on-board with transfers running the team. I feel the same with football. I'd rather have a kid that has grown up in the system but Juwan has had no choice and I think Llewwllyn gels and plays like Smith not Jones.
I'm interested to see if anyone else has thoughts or ideas to share because for the first time since he's been at UM I think I have a SOLID grasp of what Juwan is going to do
