That was my wishful thinking as well but then I heard a guy mention how all of these old coaches do not like NIL, or the transfer portal and how they're all retiring. It makes sense, he doesn't have the power he once did. He's older, has won a lot, and doesn't need the extra drama surrounding the game. That and he can't take losing to Michigan. First at sparty, now at 'bama.

saban didn't like playing on a level field and that's that. you won't ever change my mind. my heels are dug in. any reason/excuse a Bama fan can give me I'll be able to cite 10 examples as to why he benefited in the BCS and early playoff years and how he let the game off the field pass him by. He got arrogant and ignorant. later saban
