"Whoa, latest. . . MetLife Stadium (NY Jets/Giants) being discussed as a neutral site Michigan game in 2015 vs. ACC or Pac12 opponent #goblue"

| Dear Mr David Brandon: NO way, NO how, NO freaking way!!! The Big House was made even bigger, new suites, new scoreboards, and lights. M has the best stadium in the country, bring the ACC or Pac12 teams here.
Don't give me this crap, you want M to get more exposure on the east coast, helps recruiting out east, etc. Whatever money you make, I have to believe you make more on a home game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Playing Alabama in Jerry's Palace is fine, but 1 time is enough. Us M fans who pay big bucks to see UMass/Arkon/App. St/MAC schools every yr. sucks, but of course I enjoy the day tailgating with friends, seeing game, etc. But no more neutral site games, bring teams to Ann Arbor, play home and home games.
WE ARE MICHIGAN FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

| Agreed booboo.
I'd much rather engage in a home-and-home with one of those teams. Quit giving away our home games.

| I don't think that it's so much "giving away our home games", more like any team worth a crap won't come here. I hear you booboo but it isn't like DB is going out of his way to schedule neutral-site games.
If he did though I'm OK with 1 every 3 or 4 years...

| Bo, I have to respectfully disagree on having a neutral site game after Alabama. I would love USC to be Michigan's 1st home & home series w/ Pac12. Sat night in the big house 1 yr., sat night in LA coliseum other yr., would be awesome. I don't want, say, at USC, neutral site game in Meadowlands or Chicago or Kansas City. Need to have both schools grow a pair, play home & home games. Don't have to tell you the atmosphere for ND, Oregon, Wash., Colorado is different compared to EMU, UMass, Arkon, etc. | |

| That's my point, just as we won't go to Texas, u$c, or 'bama they won't come here. Too much advantage for the home team AND too much money to be lost by the road team. At least at a neutral site game the teams split the money after the venue takes their (large) cut.
That's the only way big-time regular season match-ups will happen. How ohio pulled it off with u$c and Texas I'll never know...

| It does feel weird that they're already talking about another neutral site game at all. Dave Brandon admitted that you lose money with those games and their only purpose is for a little more exposure. But usually money trumps the exposure. Home and home games with relevant opponents has been dying out for a while. The rest of the college football world is following what the SEC has been doing for over 2 decades, scheduling cupcakes for more home games and money.
I'd like a neutral site game better if it were played in the midwest. So many teams get to play those type of games closer to their own campus and like bowl games, we have such a farther distance to travel. I'd like to be on the other end of that deal for once.
It still feels weird to even think about this. In the last several years, I've seen things that I never thought I would see Michigan do in my lifetime...like scheduling 1-AA opponents, playing a night game at home, play at a neutral site, see the team in alternate uniforms. What's next? Watching Michigan play a Thursday night game?

| Almost wish teams would play 10 conf. games, 2 NC games. But as WolverineHistorian said scheduling home cupcakes and making more money is more important. With 10 conf games, only 2 NC game, teams would never schedule home & home tough NC games. BIG10/ Pac12 would be the rare exception.
Now if it ever became a 8 or 16 team playoff some day, maybe teams would be willing to schedule tougher NC games, knowing 1 lost wouldn't hurt playoff chances to much.
Just my 2 cents. GO BLUE, everybody have a great weekend.

| Simply put, I have ZERO interest in going to NY. Be it for a game or anything else. I deal with enough assholes in Chicago...can only imagine the people out there (in general, of course, I'm sure there are some nice people sprinkled in haha). | |
