I don't see it happening though. Denard is just too damned explosive. UM can't afford to have him without the ball in his hands. Only one more year Bo until we have a true prostyle QB.

think Gardner needs a lot of improvement ..... Denard is still da man .... though I would not mind him in a Percy Harvin role from time to time .... and not just the same play they ran over and over again all last year .... send Denard out into space or speeding downfield

I do think they need to get Devin some playing time early, but I don't see it happening. We have 2 really tough openers. The game in dallas against Alabam won't allow it and a quirky Air Force will come in and drain the clock. I think by Sep 15 against UMass he sees the field.

speaking of Devin ..... does he find out during the year or after about his possible red-shirt for the 2010 injury ????

It's a horrible NCAA process....nothing new there.

has that changed recently .... I thought you always knew the year that you were injured about getting an extra year

way to do it if you ask me. (They don't)

It seems like the kid's future is in a holding pattern just because they want it that way.

I wouldn't want him to transfer but that extra year could make the difference in whether he would or not.

Just idiotic the way the do it.

The NCAA doesn't wantthe extra paperwork. Say a kid gets hurt in year one. He applies and gets his medical redshirt. Then, he either leaves the team for whatever reason or leaves early for the draft. The NCAA says why do the paperwork until we know he needs it.

SMH How often does that really happen? Meanwhile they are playing with these kids lives. An extra year can mean a lot to them. How can an organization as big as the NCAA be this bad????
