| Not sure if this is new or not, but UM is at #8 in preseason poll.
Always good to start in the top 10.

| Not sure how they couldn't be that high. Coming off a BCS Bowl win. Only two losses last year and a lot of returners from that team. | |

Besides Arkansas and West Virginia (because of their QBs) I don't see how you can make a case for any of the teams 9 - 25 to be ranked above UM. So no complaints here about the #8 spot.

That's pretty much exactly what I wrote over at MGoRecruiting earlier this evening. Everyone in front of us should be in front of us (Georgia and Florida State are debatable, but who cares?), and those behind us should be behind us.

| The team I expect to fall flat on its ass sooner (no pun intended) and harder than any is No.4.
I honestly can't understand the media's annual love-fest with perennial underachiever Oklahoma, nor, for that matter, with its vastly-overrated (IMHOAIAP) coach Stoops.
(For the record...last four letters stand for "And In Actual Performance").

| One more thing.... it sure is nice to see UM back in a pre-season rankings. It's been a long four years.
Stat of the day, it's been 5 years since UM was a pre-season top 10. They were #5 in 2007 and we all know how that worked out for us.

| Unfortunately 2007 was the beginning of the end (downfall) for Michigan Football. They did right the ship enough to get the opportunity to play for a Championship but after that they beat Tebow in the Cap. One Bowl. That was one of the highest points in Michigan Football history in the last decade. Wow, that's pretty sad to say. | |

2nd, that's no isolated story for an organization with a known lamed duck at the helm. Be it sports, education, industry, government, whatever. Which is what makes it so reassuring having not only a proven winner and quality individual as our head coach, but one in only his second year (of many more ahead).

| Take a look at Florida State's laughable schedule:
Murray State Savannah State Wake Forest Clemson @ South Florida @ North Carolina State Boston College @ Miami (FL) Duke BYE WEEK @ Virginia Tech @ Maryland Florida
Only 3 of those 12 teams finished with a winning record last year. It doesn't get much easier than this.

| That is very weak but at least they have to go to USF, Miami, and Va. Tech. | |
