OT: It's a Final Four...

OT: My Indiana Hoosiers won the Men's Soccer National Championship yesterday.

I'm not a soccer guy, personally, but IU is one of the top programs in the country.

Now have 8 national titles, second only to Saint Louis' 10 titles (SLU?!?! C'mon, man!)

We had some down years, after the Jerry Yeagley retired/left. Sufferred through some down years with Freitag as coach. Then, my good friend who was the editor at the Bloomington Herald-Times, launced a pretty intense campaign to run Freitag outta town. He also pushed for Yeagley's son to be hired.

In the end, that's exactly what happened.

And BOOM.

Champions again.

Congrats ladies!

Guess I'm gonna have to watch me some of that volleyporn (as someone on here once put it) when Michigan comes on the TV.

Here's hoping I'll be responding to another Final Four post in a few months for the men's bball team.

In high school, us football players would go to the home volleyball games after practice just to see the ladies in those spandex shorts.

Very hot.

Now we're all fortunate enough to see women like that daily. The leggings craze has taken over, and boy I love it.

I coined that phrase on here. Came from my brother though. We were at the UM/Purdue game, and they advertised the Ladies Volleyball game on the big screen at the game. It said something like "After the football game come on over and support the Boilermaker volleyball team". My brother said "Anyone up for some volleyporn after this?".

So you only support Michigan Football joe? A real "Michigan Man" would support Michigan in all facets of the university. Heck, everyone knows that I highly dislike bouncy-ball but I still support it.

BTW, I did just see something on ESPN advertising the volleyball Final Four being on ESPN2 Thursday and Friday. Odds are pretty good that I won't watch but it's still a fantastic achievement for those student-athletes.

Ok joe, I apologize. I guess that I mis-read your post. I wase under the false impression that you were acting like "(yawn) It's volleyball, big deal."

I guess it's just that college Hockey fans (of which I am a member) are sick and tired of seeing a FUCKING SPELLING BEE on ESPN and the Frozen Four stuck over on ESPN3. ESPN hates hockey...

our girls had it. they choked. I know they are a Cinderella story and they have had a magical run but Texas was on the ropes for sure. Michigan choked. Congrats I guess. Next year girls.

I didn't watch but it looks like they pulled a sparty, get there and promptly lose. However I bet that they don't brag about it....

they actually put up a nice fight. got worked in the 1st set. won the 2nd and 3rd sets. got mauled in the 4th and let the 5th get away from them. They had texas on ropes big time. still can't believe it. Good news is only one senior on the team. Although they did finish 6th in the big ten this year so not sure if that's something to get all excited about.
