You can say that again. Apparently reports of Wiscy's demise this season were exaggerated- they are HOT.

Yes, the conference is tremendously deep. But before I jump on BKJ
(bandwagon Knee-jerk), and anoint Wisky as the new team to beat,
let me ask: is it just possible Indiana isn't quite what the pundits,
EPSN, or a certain web administrator have cracked them up to be???
After all, Butler's not exactly a superpower, mind you...

anytime you beat indiana at indiana, it says something....michigan has to figure out a way to win on the road against good teams. they have history of not being able to do that and until they can, i don't see them winning the big....

fish- didn't we out-rebound OSU? I thought it was first half turnovers that killed us.

That's what I was thinking, Shoes. I thought the rebounding, offensive and defensive, was pretty close to a wash (OSU might have had a slight edge).
But the turnovers---and all the missed shots---in that early 10-minute span were the killer. When you dig yourself a 21-point hole in this league, on the road, you have to be a really tough team to pull it out. But you also have to be tough, resilient and well-coached to forge a tie late in the game, as we did. That's one positive take-away we had from this game. And in the final 75 seconds, we came within Burke's in-and-back-out trifecta of taking the lead.

I'm not talking rebounds, I'm talking about inside scoring. When UM got way down, OSU was able to score inside at will. When UM tied the score, OSU fed the bigs again and scored in the paint at will to finish the game up.

Personnally I think now that Wiscy has beaten IU it is in the driver seat. I say this becuase they only play IU and Michigan 1 time. That is 2 teams that are clearly in contention for B1G title, si even if they lose to Mich and say O$U that is 3 losses as to Michigan which after losing to O$U has to stil play Wisc and IU and O$U and Sparty twice . Now I understand Sparty is really down this year but in Rival game like O$U and Sparty strange things happen.

Wisconsin is not in the driver's seat.

They are not that good. Yes, I know who they beat and where they beat them. Wisconsin's style allows them to hang with teams that have more talent than them (see: Indiana) but also allows inferior teams to hang around with them (see: many, many early round NCAAT exits). They will not get through Big 10 season with less than 5 losses. Michigan and Indiana won't lose more than 5.
