Purdue Recap

Pretty much what I expected. Purdue came to play and they did a damn good job in the first half. The fact that they made more 3s than 2s certainly helped but in the end UM clamped down on D and was just too much for them to handle.

I've seen almost every game this year and I like that no matter how we start we keep pace and keep chugging through the entire game and it really proves too much for the opposing teams. Same with the O$U game. being down 21 and still coming back to tie it just proves my point.

I can't wait for Sunday's game.

UM had 5 turnovers in the 1st half and Purdue made a lot of threes. I wasn't worried down by one at the half, because I knew neither of those things would happen in the 2nd.

Hard to believe we're one victory away from a likely #1 ranking. I personally don't care that much about the ranking, although it would be good for the program, but it would also make us 6-1 with the toughest part of the conference schedule coming up.

So...do we ascend to No.1 come Sunday night? Last time we played for it, going on the road in the Big Ten, we couldn't. And I hate to bring this up, and I admit to its questionable (to be mild) relevance, but Illinois beat OSU by 19 at C-U...

The funk the Illini seem to be in, though, I'd give us at least a 50-50 chance of pulling off another road win.

I'd put us at 70/30 provided the following falls in line:

- we don't get down by more than 13 at any point (especially not 21 a la O$U)
- Stauskas doesn't shoot goose eggs
- We keep the turnovers down to less than 10 for the entire game

The rest will work itself out. We'll be fine and I fully expect a win.

I doubt Illinois will just give it to us. We all have been saying the conference is no joke. Michigan better come to play.
