| Well, got it on to smoke at 8 am. This is my first attempt at it. Rubbed it with a mix of spices and brown sugar last night. It smells good out there. I'm excited for it. | |

| last night I bbq'd a few tenderloins from the hog I shot in January with my bow. I put a blend of spices on them and they turned out great. My go to spice is cumin. I'm going to have to try brown sugar next time. How do you use the brown sugar?

| I just mix it in with some garlic, cumin and some crushed red peppers. A little sweet and a little heat. I use the same rub when I slow cook ribs, so I figure it will work good on the pork butt. | |

| Man fish, If I were in Indy this weekend instead of Nashville, I'd be trying to wheedle an invitation- that sounds good!

| Well, it turned out great. My wife made some cole slaw, potato salad and baked bean. I pulled the pork and and made some pork slaw sandwiches on kieser rolls. Delish. | |

Dang, that sounds good. Might have to try some habanaro in my chili when it is a little cooler outside.

| If any of you visit Chicago in the next, er, 25 years, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out a BBQ spot called Smoque, here in the city.
Best BBQ I've ever had in my life. Simply amazing. In the Irving Park neighborhood (north like Wrigleyville, but a couple miles west). _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

Dang, that sounds good. Might have to try some habanaro in my chili when it is a little cooler outside. It's really good, especially with diced gourmet mushrooms in it as well.
