OT: Red Wings

It's pre-season and only 1 period into the first game but the Wings are having no problem with Boston.  2-0 Detroit after one.

4-1 Wings after 2. Boston's goal went off of a skate. A completely legal play but kinda cheap...

This is the first year that the Wings are in the Eastern Conference, we weren't sure how they will do. The Wings won 8-2 tonight, pre-season or not that is impressive. If you could actually read dwoody, you would have noticed that I did qualify it in my first post by saying "It's pre-season". I know that you do not care for the sport but dude, be real... During Michigan's tourney run last year I supported them, I even watched the games. I post basketball articles from The Daily when I see them in case any one is interested...

Hockey is right up there with football for me. I have DirecTv and the Fox sports package, but since I don't purchase NHL package even pre-season game was blacked out. Thanks for the updates 2nd.

Since you actually properly referred to the sport as basketball, I apologize, and will not insult your sport if you don't insult mine. Fair?

I have the same problem. What's the point in having that service if you can't watch the games?

The FCC says you can only see local pro games within that regions coverage. Bye Bye sports package. Hello Center Ice.

By the way, ESPN posted their 'Future Rankings' and Detroit came in 2nd behind Chicago. I thought that was interesting.

I think the move to the East will be good for them. I like it.

Not surprised to see my 'Hawks at the top, but surprised to see Detroit at #2.

Not disagreeing, I just always expect to see Pittsburgh up there or the Caps extremely overrated like every year.

Shittsburg was #3, and Boston is 4th.

Also interesting, Ottawa at 8, and the Islanders at 10. Nice to see that.
