| Are you guys ready to eat your crow about Touissaint? The guy is a stud at RB.
4 Games 319 yards 5 Touchdowns.
He is on pace for 1,000+ yards and 16 touchdowns running behind a trash O-Line. Can't believe some of you didn't think he was a starting caliber RB. _________________

| I'm still a little on the fence.
I know he got 120 but he got about 60 of that in the last 3 series it seemed.
Now, it's not fair to pick and choose this run or that run so you are correct. He got 120 pretty tough yards tonight.
Still not very happy with the running game. Way way way too much Devin. No one behind Fitz. We've got a ways to go. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| He is on pace for 1,000+ yards as 16+ touchdowns begin a bad offensive line and you still find ways to piss and moan. You are a middle school girl.
Or do you think the offensive line is playing good? _________________

| His block was critical in springing Devin for our first touchdown too.

'shoes Is what puts him ay ahead of the other guys. WTF ever happened to Rawls? He fell off the face of the earth. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| BTW, his 2 TD runs alone were 35 and 12 yards. That's 47 of his yards in 2 carries. Again, it's just not fair to nit-pick but I feel we'd be doing ourselves a dis-service if we believed our running game was alive and well.
What difference does it make who's fault it is? _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| IIRC Rawls screed up and he is in the dog-house. I could be wrong though. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Toussaint had a decent second half. _________________ “And I remember across those years Two banners that crowned the crest, When Yale was king of the conquered East, And Michigan ruled the West.”

| Joe, you can do that for every running back in the nation. Take out two of his biggest carries and then say "without these two carries he only had blah blah blah." James White had a long of 70 today. Take that out and his YPC isn't impressive. But newsflash, that run counts. Those runs counted for A-train, they counted for Mike Hart, and they counted for Fitz.
Seriously, go try it. Go take out a running backs two longest runs and them check out his YPC. You do it for Fitz as if to say he wasn't effective... So now do it for other runners. _________________

You know how many Michigan running backs have scored 16 or more touchdowns in a single season since 1970?
Two.
You guys are a joke when it comes to this issue. Touissaint is easily the most underrated player on this team. _________________

Would you rather have runs of 6, 6, 6, 6, 6 for a total of 30 yards or -5, -5, 0, 0, 40 for a total of 30 yards? If you read my post I prefaced it by saying you couldn't do what I said. Let me go deeper. One of my favorite players in baseball, Ryne Sandberg was a great player, when it really didn't matter. He'd hit home runs in 11-0 games. But put him up in the clutch and he'd choke. It's a little different but to me when and how he got the yards are even MORE important than how many he got. Look at Drew Dileo. He ain't gonna have the most receiving yards at Michigan but look at how many big plays he's made in 4 years. To me it's when and how just as much as how many. With that said, Fitz got the yards WHEN WE NEEDED THEM! Please understand, I am not one of the people complaining about Fitz. I like Fitz. Hell, I LOVE Fitz. I don't think it's all his fault. I'm just trying to be fair and honest and type what I see. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

So is making up numbers something you do for fun? My point was that all runningbacks have negative and zero yard rushes. It isn't just Touissaint. They all have big plays that contribute to their yardage totals, but you can't just take those out. I asked you to go check out other runningbacks and their game logs, but obviously you didn't. Instead you just throw out random numbers to try and justify your fallacy. Since you made up numbers, I figured I'd show you the actual numbers. Keep in mind this is rushing behind an offensive line that has been less than impressive. 1st Quarter: rush for 2 yards rush for 7 yards reception for 7 yards rush for 3 yards rush for -1 yard rush for -2 yards Second Quarter: rush for 7 yards rush for 4 yards rush for 5 yards rush for 2 yards rush for 10 yards 3rd Quarter: rush for 7 yards rush for 2 yards rush for -5 yards reception for no gain rush for 4 yards rush for -1 yard rush for 7 yards rush for 35 yards and a touchdown rush for no gain 4th Quarter: rush for no gain rush for 12 yards and a touchdown rush for 14 yards rush for 6 yards rush for 3 yards How you can sit there and pretend he had Barry Sanders-like skewed stats is beyond me. He played a great came and people are still on here pretending like he didn't. I don't get it. _________________
